Igual que hablamos el otro día sobre la improvisación, esto, es muy parecido. Tienes que tener un lote en tu cabeza de imágenes, planos, pasos!, etc, .. que puedes usar en tu cabeza, ...

He hecho algunos video-clips con el gbmj, no muchos, por falta de tiempo y recursos, pero por ejemplo, sí que he hecho coreografías imaginándo cómo lo haría Michael Jackson, por ejemplo el tema Unbreakable, del disco INVINCIBLE, no tiene video, pero sin embargo estuvo candidato a ser single, ... intenté por todos los medios en mi cabeza, inventar e intentar cómo lo hubiera hecho Michael, y lo que me salió fue así, ... (puedes buscarlo en youtube), mucha gente me felicitó por mi trabajo, ... dijeron que era una coreografía muy personal, con un toque de Jackson, y era eso lo que quería, mi "toque", y el "toque" de MJ. Programas de televisión

Cuando estaba en éste mundillo, me llamaban de muchas televisiones, locales, nacionales, etc, …

Todos sabemos que muchos programas, por no decir, casi todos, buscan frikis para reirse de ellos.

A mi, me llamaban, porque yo hacía algo diferente de los demás, o sea, tenía todas las papeletas para ser un friki, y pasar un rato divertido conmigo/de mi.

Yo, bailaba Michael Jackson, y eso, significaba fanatismo, cegedad para defender a mi ídolo, etc, ... Muchas personas hemos visto así en la televisión.

Siempre iba con la idea bien clara, de que yo imitaba al artista, y que iba, por eso, para que me vieran bailar, y para promocionar mi grupo de baile, que, al final, dije que era requisito imprescindible para ir al plató.

Cuando llegaba ahí, notaba a mucha gente, mientras me maquillaban, que me miraban medio riéndose, como diciendo, ya verás, éste cuando salga, que risa, ...

Para la decepción de mucho (supongo que no de todos), después de bailar, o antes, con las preguntas que me hacían, vieron que yo era una persona NORMAL, es decir, dejaba bien claro que me gustaba bailar, imitar, que no me gustaban las operaciones que se hacían los fans, que no iba vestido como el por la calle, y que, cuando me preguntaban sobre Michael, yo, lo defendía, con argumentos, claros y precisos, que, antes, ya me tenía preparado, claro.

Mucha gente se queja de que España, no es un país de artístas, y mucho menos de danza, ... y es verdad. La televisión, que es el medio más común y más triunfa entre todos, lo utilizan para dar malas noticias (desgracias) y para sacar a frikis, para que nos riamos de ellos y pensemos, ... no me lo puedo creer, que haya personas así, ... tanto, que, a veces pensamos que son actores (que alguno lo serán).

En algún foro de danza, leo mucho de cómo se quejan los bailarines/as profesionales de que no hay mucho futuro aqui en España, y que tienen que irse a Francia o más lejos a desarrollar su arte, ... es triste, pero es así, .... la danza, o el arte en general, ... no vende, igual que, no venden las buenas noticias, ....

Actitud Triunfadora

Este blog, lo cree hace poco, porque me gusta bailar, y porque se convirtió hace años, en el centro de mi vida, ...

Lo escribo porque me gusta escribir lo que sé, y que los demás puedan aprender de algunas cosas que soy... ¿por que no? A veces pienso que otra persona como yo, vendería todos sus conocimientos para sacar partido, pero creo que es un poco egoísta.

Sin querer, tomé una actitud triunfadora, ... de bailar yo solo en mi casa, y soñar que daba un concierto en mi salón, a DAR UN CONCIERTO con 8 bailarines detrás de mi a mi cargo.

Ahora sólo tengo que tomar ésta actitud a todo lo que quiera conseguir, y se que TODO lo puedo conseguir con ésta actitud y perseverancia.

Algunas personas me dijeron que podía lograr lo que quisiera, tras haber visto de todo lo que soy capaz gracias a DESEAR, sólo eso, ... todo me movía el DESEO por hacer y creer hacer algo, ...

Respecto al baile, me dijeron que si podía bailar Michael Jackson, podría bailar CUALQUIER COSA, desde Sevillanas, hasta clásico, ... (uno de mis puntos débiles).

El mejor piropo que me echaron cuando bailaba era: "Bailas tan bien como un negro". ;)

Mucha gente me pregunta cómo hago para bailar como bailo. Llega un momento, que al final, me lo pregunto hasta yo, ...

Tiene que ver mucho con lo que piensas, antes, durante y después del baile, ...

Yo, me respondo, ... "no lo sé...", es algo natural, que me sale, cuando suena: PAM! hago PAM con mi pierna, o con mi brazo, o con lo que haya enviado mi cerebro, milésimas de segundos antes de sonar éste PAM!.

Esto indica que, para que sea natural, te tienes que creer lo que estás haciendo, tiene que estar dentro de ti, TU eres la música ...

Siempre digo lo mismo, cuando bailes: "¿Cómo le vas a decir a un SORDO cómo es la música?".

Si alguna vez has visto un vídeo de algún bailarín o varios, sin sonido, puedes intuir, cómo es la música, lenta, rápida, etc, ... además de los gestos de la cara, ves los movimientos, cómo son, ...

Haz una prueba, coge el vídeo de BAD o de Beat it de Michael Jackson, y mira el vídeo sin música, ¿será una música rápida o lenta? ¿es agradable o agresiva?

Los movimientos, hablan, sólo hay que "escucharlos", con los ojos, ...

Cuando vi el video de BAD (mi canción favorita), era pequeño, y yo, no sabía inglés, pero podía recibir todo lo que quería decir MJ en ése momento, con sus caras y sus gestos: "Mira, estoy aqui, te vas a enterar!, y ahora que dices? venga! metete conmigo a ver si te atreves!", todo esto es interpretable, claro, pero la idea, es la misma, ...

Malinterpretación de los PASOS

Me gusta mucho ver a otros imitando a Michael Jackson. Es muy curioso cómo los demás interpretan como ven a MJ, y lo intentan hacer.

Es como el teléfono roto. Se colocan 10 personas, y una le dice a la otra en voz baja un mensaje, éste al que tiene al lado, y así, hasta que vuelve, ... que pasa? pues que el mensaje es distorsionado. Esto debe pasar al ver a MJ, y yo interpretarlo. Yo veo que lo hace de una manera, lo interpreto de otra, y lo hago de otra, ... y a veces... ES TOTALMENTE DISTINTO!, ... sólo a veces, ... otros sí que consiguen que se parezca ;)

La de cantidad de imitadores que hay en el mundo son muchísimos, aunque cuando vas a una fiesta, sólo hay 1 o 2 entre 50 fans, ... ahora con youtube puedes ver a esos imitadores, y a muchos más! porque los que salen en youtube, algunos, no se atreverían a hacerlo delante de sus amigos, sin embargo, son vistos por miles de personas! ...

Cuando era más pequeño, y me pedían que bailara para ellos, me daba mucha verguenza, sin embargo, cuando me subía a un escenario, no me daba verguenza, me gustaba y disfrutaba mucho más de los que me estaban mirando ...

Es curioso cómo te da verguenza hacerlo delante de 5 personas, y no te da verguenza hacerlo delante de 500.

Grabate, para BAILAR BIEN

Uno de los primeros trucos que se deben utilizar, por mi experiencia es GRABARSE EN VIDEO.

Nos da verguenza, o hacemos cosas diferentes, pero debemos ponernos delante de una cámara, aunque sea una webcam, y grabarnos, y VER como nos ven los demás cuando bailamos ...

Da igual si bailamos salsa, hip hop, clásica, es MUY importante vernos cómo nos ven los demás.

La primera reacción que tenemos cuando nos vemos, es: "Ese soy yo?", ahora con las cámaras que hay por todas partes, ya estamos casi acostumbrados.

En la entrevista que hizo Ophra a Michael Jackson, le preguntó: "Por qué te tocas ahí abajo cuando bailas?", él respondió que era algo casi automático, que lo hacía por el ritmo, ... una vez lo hizo, se vió, y continuó haciéndolo, ... Declaraba que cuando el se veía, se preguntaba: "Eso lo he hecho yo?".

Hasta Michael Jackson le gusta sentarse a ver lo que ha hecho cuando crea un video-clip, y más el, que es muy, pero que muy perfeccionista. Realmente, la tardanza de años entre un disco y otro es esto, que mira y remira cómo queda la música y los videos antes de salir a la luz, buscando la perfección.
